The more I hate, the more he follows me.

Reason and love keep little company together nowadays.

Things base and vile, holding no quantity,

Love can transpose to form and dignity.

Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind.

And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.

- On the first view, to say, to swear, I love thee.

- Methinks, mistress, you should have little reason for that: and yet, to say the truth, reason and love keep little company together now-a-days.
