The Fox's Adventure – A Series of Ten Tales
O książce
This story series follows a hungry fox who, while foraging in the wild, attempts to cunningly deceive various animals—such as a stork, a crow, a chicken, and a goat—only to fail and face punishment each time.
When the fox falls gravely ill and nears death due to his misfortunes and hunger, the very animals he had once tried to harm come to his aid with kindness, saving his life. Overcome with shame and remorse for his past actions, the fox abandons his selfish ways in his new forest home and begins rushing to the aid of other animals in distress.
Thanks to his acts of heroism and spirit of cooperation, he is awarded a medal by the lion—the king of the forest—and earns the respect of all the animals.
Ultimately, his journey to a mysterious, unexplored island of birds—carried on the back of a tortoise—inspires great admiration throughout the forest. Fearing he might lose his throne, the jealous lion banishes the fox, who sadly returns to his former life.
