"A Man and a Woman" is a 19th-century novel by an American newspaperman, editor, newspaper owner, and author of both non-fiction and fiction, Stanley Waterloo. The author claims the novel presented here (created in 1892) was based on real events, and he personally knew the protagonists. The novel follows the difficulties a man and a woman belonging to different social strata had to overcome to build relations.
