The Idyl of Twin Fires

This work tells the story of a college professor who falls victim to Spring Fever after seven years of life on campus. John Upton decides he needs to buy a farm and lands with thirty acres of his own. He leaves the college, starts working as a manuscript reader for a publishing house, and decides he will write on his own as well. Upton decides the farm will help him pay for his living in the meantime.
