The Young Seigneur

'The Young Seigneur' is a historical fiction novel written by William Douw Lighthall. The story is set in the 1870s, about six years after the confederation of the Provinces into the Dominion of Canada. It was during a particularly warm day when an Ontarian went down into Quebec,—an event then almost as rare as a Quebecker entering Ontario.
