A Poor Gentleman

This book tells the story of two Penton families. Sir Walter Penton the owner of the Penton estate who has lost his sons and heir to his estate left with only a daughter who can only inherit his wealth and not his estate. The heir to the estate is now his cousin Edward of Penton Hook with eight children. The plot of the novel is entangled around a theme of wills, inheritance, and romance between the penton children.
