"Personal recollections and experiences concerning the Battle of Stone River" is a short personal account written years after the war by the eye-witness of the events. The author was involved in the fighting near the Nashville Turnpike toward the close of the first day's battle and in repelling Brekenridge's assault on the second day, which he describes in the presented book here.
