The Gateless Barrier

This novel tells the story of Laurence Rivers, an Englishman who is to inherit a wealthy estate from his ailing uncle with one caveat: no women allowed, including his American wife Virginia. While exploring the estate, Laurence discovers a hidden room and falls for the beautiful Agnes Rivers who unexpectedly appears. But things are not as they seem with Agnes.
