Bausteine für unsere ökumenische Zukunft

Mit den vielfältigen Feiern zum «Christusfest» im Jahr 2017 ist die Hoffnung auf einen «neuen ökumenischen Frühling» – so Papst Franziskus – wieder entflammt. Die Erwartungen richten sich auf den 3. Ökumenischen Kirchentag und die 11. Vollversammlung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen im Jahr 2021. Unsere ökumenische Zukunft braucht eine breite Basis und konkrete Gestalt. Hans-Georg Link trägt dafür fünf Bausteine zusammen: 1. die Schlüsselfragen christlicher Existenz als gemeinsame Grundlagen, 2. Einsichten aus den letzten fünf Vollversammlungen des ÖRK, 3. theologische Beiträge zur ökumenischen Vielfalt, 4. Vorschläge zu aktuellen Herausforderungen, 5. Ausblicke auf die konziliare Gemeinschaft im 21. Jahrhundert.

Das Buch beginnt mit einer Meditation über das Gebet Jesu um das «Einssein aller» und mündet in einen Ausblick auf das Jahr 2021.

With the many celebrations of the «Feast of Christ» in 2017, the hope for a «new ecumenical spring» – so Pope Francis – has been rekindled. Expectations are directed towards the 3rd Ecumenical Kirchentag and the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in 2021. Our ecumenical future needs a broad basis and concrete forms. Hans-Georg Link brings together five building blocks: 1. the key questions of Christian existence as common foundations, 2. insights from the last five assemblies of the WCC, 3. theological contributions to ecumenical diversity, 4. proposals on current challenges, 5. perspectives on the conciliar fellowship in the 21st century.

The book begins with a meditation on the prayer of Jesus for the «oneness of all» and ends with a view to the year 2021.
