Disenchantment

Disenchantment is war poetry by C. E. Montague that depicts the sense of frustration soldiers had with their leaderships and their countrymen. Centered around the happenings of the Great War, it describes the callous behavior of the rich against the poor during a time of need. It depicts a powerful view of Britain in the First World War which could have been, as suggested, avoided.
