A Knight of the Nets

'A Knight of the Nets' is a romance-drama novel written by Amelia E. Barr. The novel is set in the made-up village of Pittendurie and follows a fishing family through their experiences of happiness and hardship. The story starts with a happy marriage, but the relationship is eventually destroyed by the harsh treatment from the groom's mother, who disapproves of her son marrying a girl from a poor fishing family.
