This is a collection of 10 short stories written by the American author, Gertrude Atherton. Many of the stories are set in England and many have a supernatural or Gothic feel about them. In the first story, a famous author has realized his dream of purchasing an old ancestral home. This horror story lets us see the folly of his actions.
