The Devil Man

The life story of British burglar Charles Peace from the 19th century is told in «The Devil Man.» In an inventive way, it depicts the tale of Charles's life and crimes. His history is littered with thievery, deceit, inappropriate behavior toward women, rage, and industrial espionage in the fledgling steel business. This mystery novel tells the story of Sergeant Eltham also called Baldy or Whiskers. Eltham is tasked with solving the mystery of a lost employee at Mr. Wertheimer's company.
